Golf Green Bliss is a two-bedroom apartment in a quiet residential township in South Kolkata — the sort of place the city's own families live in, rather than a room rented by the night above a lobby.
It was built as a home, and it still behaves like one. There is a living room to gather in, a table by the window to eat at, a kitchen to actually use, and two queen bedrooms with a bathroom each — so a family or a group of friends is not negotiating over one room. What it offers is ordinary and, on a trip, surprisingly rare: privacy, space, and a door of your own.
The whole apartment is yours for the length of your stay — not a room, not a floor of it.

A round wooden table and two cushioned armchairs under a framed print, with daylight coming through the window beside it. The natural spot for breakfast, and for the tea nobody wants to end.
The Kitchen
A full kitchen with a granite worktop, fridge, microwave, oven, kettle and the cooking basics. On any stay longer than two nights it quietly becomes the most useful room in the apartment.

Morning
Kolkata mornings are the best hour it has. Put the kettle on in your own kitchen, take it to the table by the window, and walk to the park while the light is still soft.
Afternoon
A yellow taxi, the metro, or simply a long walk. Markets, a mall when the heat wins, bookshops, a lakeside path, and lunch somewhere you had not planned on.
Evening
The particular relief of returning to somewhere that is yours for the week. Shoes off in the hall, the sofa, everyone talking over each other, nothing left to organise.
Night
This is a neighbourhood of homes, not a hotel strip. The street settles early, the lamps go on, and two separate bedrooms mean everybody sleeps properly.
06Beyond the front door
Golf Green sits among Jadavpur, Jodhpur Park, Lake Gardens and Tollygunge — close enough to the city's noise to reach it easily, far enough to sleep through it.
07Where you'll be
A planned township laid out in the early 1980s on land that was once part of the Royal Calcutta Golf Club course — which is where the name, and the greenery, come from. It was designed around its park, and it still feels that way.
Rabindra Sarobar and Mahanayak Uttam Kumar stations sit on the Blue Line nearby, which runs north through the centre of the city.
App cabs, yellow taxis and auto-rickshaws are straightforward to find, and city buses serve the area throughout the day.
Golf Green is a planned residential township, so it is unusually walkable — the park, everyday shops and local markets are part of the neighbourhood itself.
