Golf Green Bliss is a three-bedroom apartment in a quiet residential township in South Kolkata, a few minutes from the Tollygunge Club — the sort of place the city's own families live in, rather than a room rented by the night above a lobby.
It was built as a home, and it still behaves like one. There is a living room to gather in, a table by the window to eat at, a kitchen to actually use, two air-conditioned queen bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a third room under a wall of posters for whoever draws it. Six people fit without anyone drawing the short straw. What it offers is ordinary and, on a trip, surprisingly rare: privacy, space, and a door of your own.
The whole apartment is yours for the length of your stay — not a room, not a floor of it.
Golf Green is where people live — and the Tollygunge Club is minutes away. Mornings are for walkers; evenings are genuinely quiet.
A full kitchen, free parking on the premises and three bedrooms make a week here feel very different from a week in a hotel.

Every wall is hung with framed music and film posters — Pink Floyd, Bowie, Metallica, Black Sabbath — over a floor mattress, a tripod lamp and a teak armchair by the glazed door. It is the room the younger half of the group will fight over. Two honest caveats: the bed is a mattress on the floor, and this room has a ceiling fan rather than air conditioning, which is worth planning around between March and September.

The Living Room
A deep cushioned sofa, a television on the wall and a braided rug across the marble. Somewhere to put your feet up after Gariahat, argue about tomorrow's plan, and do very little on a slow afternoon. The couch takes a sixth guest at a push.

The Dining Corner
A round wooden table and two teak armchairs under a large folk-art print, with daylight coming through the window beside it and the bookshelves within reach. The natural spot for breakfast, and for the tea nobody wants to end.
The Kitchen
An L-shaped kitchen with a black granite worktop, an induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge and freezer, kettle, coffee maker and the cooking basics — plus a water purifier over the sink and wine glasses in the wall rack. On any stay longer than two nights it quietly becomes the most useful room here.

There is no washing machine or dryer in the apartment, and no heating — which a Kolkata winter does not ask for, but a long stay with laundry does. Worth knowing before you book rather than after.

Morning
Kolkata mornings are the best hour it has. Put the kettle on in your own kitchen, take it to the table by the window, and be out for a walk while the light is still soft.
Afternoon
A yellow taxi, the metro, or a round at the Tolly. Markets, a mall when the heat wins, bookshops, a lakeside path, and lunch somewhere you had not planned on.
Evening
The particular relief of returning to somewhere that is yours for the week. Shoes off in the hall, the sofa, everyone talking over each other, nothing left to organise.
Night
This is a neighbourhood of homes, not a hotel strip. The street settles early, quiet hours start at ten, and three separate bedrooms mean everybody sleeps properly.
06Beyond the front door
Golf Green sits among Jadavpur, Jodhpur Park, Lake Gardens and Tollygunge — close enough to the city's noise to reach it easily, far enough to sleep through it.
07Where you'll be
A planned township laid out in the early 1980s on land that was once part of the Royal Calcutta Golf Club course — which is where the name, and the greenery, come from. It was designed around its park, and it still feels that way.
The Tollygunge Club and the Royal Calcutta Golf Club — the oldest golf club outside Britain — are both close by. The listing leads with them for a reason: this is the address you want for a round, a members' lunch or a wedding at the Tolly.
Rabindra Sarobar and Mahanayak Uttam Kumar stations sit on the Blue Line nearby, which runs north through the centre of the city.
App cabs, yellow taxis and auto-rickshaws are straightforward to find, and city buses serve the area throughout the day. If you are driving, parking on the premises is free and watched.
Golf Green is a planned residential township, so it is unusually walkable — the park, everyday shops and local markets are part of the neighbourhood itself.
